Dafydd Aled Rees Jones (* June 24, 1979 in Aberystwyth ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used to the positions winger and number eight. He plays for the Scarlets and is part of the Welsh national team.

Jones comes from the youth academy of Llanelli and came in 1999 to his first race for the men's team of Llanelli RFC. His national team debut came in 2002 against Fiji. He was also nominated for the upcoming World Cup, where he came in all five games of the Welsh used and put a try against Italy.

However, at the Grand Slam winning the Welsh in 2005, Jones was only a single use. He had to undergo a shoulder operation in 2006 because he had been injured in the past two seasons and over again. It turned out well for the World Cup 2007. Under the new national coach Warren Gatland Jones returned in 2008, back in the national team and has since become a permanent part of the squad.
