Dallas is a city in Paulding County in the U.S. state of Georgia. Dallas is the county seat ( county seat ) of Paulding County.

History

The city was founded on May 14, 1852, and named after George Mifflin Dallas, the U.S. Vice President from 1845 to 1849 under James K. Polk.

During the American Civil War, the city in the Atlanta Campaign May to September 1864 played a major role, since the Battle of Dallas (see: en: Battle of Dallas ) took place on 28 May 1864. Today it reminds the New Hope Church monument.
