Dallay

Dallay is a French publisher philatelic catalogs based in Paris since 2001. The two main authors are Luc Dartois and Jean-Bernard Pillet.

In Dallay stamps from the countries to be cataloged, which are particularly for French collectors of interest. This of course includes the brands from France, but also from the French overseas territories, the French postal service in Andorra and Monaco. The end of 2005 brought Dallay also a catalog of the stamps from the territories of the former French colonial empire out.

The Dallay is characterized above all by the fact that it ( eg who has designed the stamp ) significantly more information on the individual stamps published as the two main competitors Cérès and Yvert et Tellier. The result was that the price of their competitors catalogs were significantly reduced and also was offered on CD- ROM a free catalog.

2004 Dallay however, was indicted by a French court for counterfeiting and unfair competition. They had applied the Yvert number system, which was introduced in 1895 by Yvert. 2005 but it came to an amicable agreement. Yvert et Tellier began then, their rights to the number system to sell, so that upon payment of the appropriate sums, users now earned the right to print an index of the Yvert stamp number at the end of their catalogs. Dallay took the opportunity on the issue of its catalog 2005-2006.
