Dalton Transactions

Dalton Transactions, abbreviated Dalton Trans, is a weekly journal of the Royal Society of Chemistry. The first edition appeared in 2003. Published articles cover the areas of organometallic chemistry, catalysis, bioinorganic chemistry, solid state chemistry and coordination chemistry.

The Impact Factor is 3.806 (2012 ). In statistics, the Science Citation Index, the magazine in the category " Inorganic & Nuclear Chemistry " performed on 8 out of 44 journals.

Editor in chief is Jamie Humphrey of the Royal Society of Chemistry, Cambridge.

Of all the articles are abstracts on the Web free of charge, full-text PDF files, however, are chargeable. The contents of Dalton Transactions go also into the more medically oriented database MEDLINE.

Publication History

Previous journal was the Journal of the Chemical Society, in 1965 split into four separate titles. The title of the successor journal, which eventually Dalton Transactions emerged, was changed several times in between:

  • Journal of the Chemical Society A: Inorganic, Physical, Theoretical (1966-1971)
  • Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions (1972-2002)
  • Dalton Transactions (since 2003)
