Damares

Damares ( born January 30, 1980 in Umuarama, Paraná; actually Damares Alves Bezerra de Oliveira ) is a Brazilian gospel singer.

Life

Damares, daughter of Pastor Antonio Bezerra and pink Alvez, visited the municipal school Augusto Angels. At age 16, she married Pastor Aldori de Oliveira.

In the gospel scene it was in 2008 with their album " Revelation " is known, which has sold over 600,000 copies in a short time. With the song Sabor de Mel contained ( Taste of Honey ), she won several talent competitions in 2009. In 2010 she signed a contract with Sony Music and released the album " Diamante " the reüssierte with 130,000 copies sold in a month. In the meantime (2012 ) are more than twice as many. Damares received by the UN the title of a Messenger of Peace.
