Location of Damerow in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern
Damerow is a municipality in the district of Vorpommern - Rollwitz Greifswald in eastern Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ).
Geography
Damerow on the border to Brandenburg is located eight kilometers south of Pasewalk in a hilly area, which gradually decreases westward to Uecker. The region south of Pasewalk, as well as the entire northern Uckermark, predominantly agricultural. What is striking is the large number of wind turbines.
History
On July 25, 1952 Damerow was removed together with other municipalities from the Brandenburg until 1945 the Prussian district Prenzlau and assigned to the circle Pasewalk in the district of Neubrandenburg.
On 1 January 2012, the formerly independent municipality Damerow was incorporated into Rollwitz.
Attractions
Remains of the system of the manor with castle park of the von Winterfeld (possibly after a student's plan Lenné ). Castle Damerow has not survived. The house of the estate manager has been set by the family repaired.

East of Damerow runs past the Baltic Sea motorway ( A 20, driveway Pasewalk -south). The nearest train station is four kilometers west in Nechlin ( district of the Brandenburg municipality Uckerland ).
