Damien Plessis

Damien Plessis ( born March 5, 1988 in Neuville -aux -Bois ) is a French football player. Plessis plays mainly on the position of defensive midfielder.

Career

Association

Plessis started his career at Olympique Lyon from where he moved in August 2007 to Liverpool FC and signed a three year contract. In his imagination Liverpool manager Rafael Benítez said: "He is a good player, big and strong, and we are sure he will do good for us." His debut in the Premier League, he celebrated on 5 April 2008 in the game against Arsenal, which ended 1-1. In the following three years, however Plessis was only sporadically used and played until his move to the Greek champions Panathinaikos Athens in the summer of 2010, eight competitive games ( 1 goal) for Liverpool.

National

Plessis played for the French under-19 and participated with her in 2007 at the European Championship U- 19 in Austria, where the French team penetrated to the semifinals. There they failed, however, in the penalty shoot-out 4-2 at the eventual winner of the tournament Spain. Plessis scored the first penalty of his team and was able to transform this sovereign.
