Damir Polančec

Damir Polančec ( born June 25, 1967 in Đelekovec, Koprivnica, Yugoslavia ) is a Croatian politician. He is a member of the HDZ.

He was on 17 February 2005 to January 12, 2008 Deputy Prime Minister in the Cabinet of Ivo Sanader, then Minister of Economic Affairs until 30 October 2008. On 15 October 2010 a Zagreb court sentenced him to one year and three months in prison. He is said to have given a superfluous legal opinions for the price of 70,000 euros in order. More corruption cases are currently pending.
