Damoiseau (crater)

Damoiseau is an impact crater on the moon western front, at the edge of Oceanus Procellarum, to the east of the crater Grimaldi and north of Sirsalis. The rim is irregular and flattened, the interior with numerous striations in the characteristics of a fracture bottom crater.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the French Aastronomen Marie -Charles -Théodore de Damoiseau de Montfort.
