Dan Pinto began his career in 1974 as a rock & roll drummer and soon spread to various forms of percussion and keyboards. Prior to his success as a composer, he worked as a drummer and also learned to play the piano at the time. He taught himself to play all the instruments at himself, he said, depending on the financial situation, the instruments, as larger pianos, borrowed or bought it themselves. He learned to play several types of keyboards. Because he devoted to the different types of instruments, he was soon able to give his first concerts in which he used all instruments.

Style of music and compositions

First he put his music towards the progressive rock bands of the early 1970s determined, but the subsequent establishment of an orchestra played for him as a songwriter an even more decisive role. He was already very interested in the production of films, since he worked as a child as an amateur filmmaker. Thanks to the founding of his orchestra he was allowed to work between the two genres. His music has been several broadcasters, such as CNN or film projects used for years as background music. 2006 one of his songs was nominated as Best Instrumental Song of the Year, which he owed to his work as a writer of New Age songs.

Collaboration with other artists

Four years after he began to compose music, he wrote a song for the rock band Juice. In addition to his solo career, he also worked as a drummer for 3 Point Play. For the band WainWave Music, he worked temporarily at the keyboard and with Doug Wain he presented in 1988 a newly released disk.

Instruments

As a musician Pinto covers in its use of various instruments two areas: The first area is the drummer, with whom he has become specialized in certain varieties of drums. Also electric instruments falling within its area of use, which he particularly preferred when he works with both the drums and the keyboard.

Other activities

In addition to his work as a musician and composer Pinto has a private studio where he produces his songs all by yourself. In 2009 he said in an interview how he wrote a screenplay, produce and also derive a movie editing. During the film, as Pinto said, an unofficial project entsprünge, the wave of the music he in 1999, four years later, brought out to the officials. He worked regularly with projects such as these.
