Dana Bash

Dana Ruth Schwartz Bash King ( born June 15, 1971 in Montvale, New Jersey, born Dana Ruth Schwartz) is an American journalist of Jewish origin, who currently works as an anchorwoman for CNN.

Biography

Bash completed her high school time at Pascack Hills High School in her hometown Montvale. After she graduated from George Washington University in Washington DC her bachelor's degree "cum laude" in political science and then joined CNN. After working in Washington as an editor, she reported extensively from the 2000 campaign of Al Gore, the presidential candidate of the Democratic Party. Bash also reported live from the attacks of September 11.

In the eight years of the presidency of George W. Bush Bash reported by Hurricane Katrina, the capture of Saddam Hussein, the campaign for the presidency in 2004 and the 2006 mid-term elections. Bash was in the 2008 presidential campaign expert for the Republican Party and reported at the CNN election night live from their official election party in Scottsdale.

Private life

Bash the daughter of Stu Schwartz, a journalist of the news channel ABC, and the author Francie Schwartz. She has a brother named David. From 1998 to 2007 she was married to her first husband, Jeremy B. Bash. In May 2008, she married her CNN colleague John King, as she specializes in coverage of the Republican Party. Since Bash is Jewish, her husband also converted to Judaism. It should be noted that it was the name " Bash " retained even after divorce and re- marriage.
