Dane Rudhyar

Dane Rudhyar, born Daniel Chennevière ( born March 23, 1895 in Paris, † September 13, 1985 in San Francisco), was a modern composer, painter and founder of humanistic astrology.

Due to ill health Rudhyar was not drafted in the First World War as a soldier. He could leave the country in 1917 in the United States. He first lived in New York and in 1976, for health reasons, in Palo Alto. In New York, he came in contact with theosophical circles. He married first psychological approaches to astrology, arguing that humanistic astrology.
