Daniel Nordmann

Daniel Nordmann ( born December 12, 1955) is a Swiss manager and was from 2000 to August 2007, the CEO of SBB Cargo.

Daniel Nordmann is a qualified psychologist HAP and graduated from the University of St. Gallen, the title of Executive MBA in Logistics Management. Nordmann worked from 1998 at the Swiss Federal Railways (SBB ), first as head of the central staff. In 2000 he was appointed head of SBB Cargo. Under his leadership, SBB Cargo pursued on the north -south axis between northern Germany and northern Italy a growth strategy. This produced SBB Cargo between 2005 and 2007 around 40 percent of its transport performance in Germany and Italy. In Switzerland, SBB Cargo had lowered costs, increased capacity utilization and therefore increases productivity. Thus, the company was able to get the comprehensive service in spite of the continuous elimination of federal subsidies.

On 16 August 2007 Daniel Nordmann resigned as a member of the SBB management and as a delegate of the board of SBB Cargo AG, as the proposed reduction in the deficit could not be reached. He was replaced by Nicolas Perrin.

Nordmann has two children.

2008-2009 he worked as a consultant and partner at the consulting firm AXAS AG, Muttenz. 2010, Toll Holdings Melbourne chose him as Regional Director of Human Resources and Integration Division Forwarding ( TGF ) of the Europe Region, Middle East and Africa ( EMEA TGF ). In the center of his tasks was the construction of human resources management in TGF EMEA and the integration of newly acquired companies into the group.

2014 Daniel Nordmann became an independent coach of executives, professionals and management teams.
