Daniël Noteboom

Daniël Noteboom ( born February 26, 1910 in Noordwijk, † January 12, 1932 in London) was a Dutch chess champion.

Noteboom was next to Max Euwe one of the greatest chess talents of the Netherlands in the 1920s and 1930s. Mid-1920s, he joined a chess club in Leiden. Noteboom played for the Netherlands at the Chess Olympiads in 1930 in Hamburg and in 1931 in Prague. His result 1930: 9, -1, = 5 ( = 76.6 %) signified the best result on the third board. Noteboom played three matches with Salo Landau: In 1928 she played in Leiden 2,5:2,5 ( 1, -1, = 3 ), 1931, they played twice in Rotterdam.
