Daniel Schumann

Daniel Schumann ( born February 13, 1977 in Weimar ) is a former German football player.

Career

After Schumann had played in his youth at SV 1924 Münchenbernsdorf, he moved at age 17 to Bayer Leverkusen, where he remained for three years without a league use. From 1997 to 2005 he played for SC Freiburg and denied there 106 games in the 1st and 2nd Bundesliga. Twice he succeeded with the SC promotion to the first division. After Freiburg was relegated to the second league in 2005, Schumann left the club.

From 2005 to 2007 he played at second division Kickers Offenbach. After several weeks without a club, he was obliged by the third division FSV Frankfurt in October 2007. The FSV he got after this round on to the 2nd Bundesliga and completed in the 2008 /09 season twelve second division games for the Bornheimer. Since his contract was not renewed, he was without a club after the end of the season.

From 1 February 2010 to 30 June 2011, he stood by the second team of Bayer Leverkusen under contract before he finished his career.

Private

Since 2007, he was with his father Norbert the Soccer Academy Schumann and served there as a coach. Since the death of his father in May 2011 he has been director and coach of the football school.
