Daniel Stålhammar

Daniel Stålhammar ( born October 20, 1974 in Landskrona ) is a Swedish FIFA referee.

Career

Stålhammar played football at Häljarps IF before a groin injury ended his playing career. After he had passed the age of 13 years as a referee in the youth field first games, he whistled as a 16- year-old his first game in the adult area, as he had been put in charge of a seventh league game. From 1995 he was finally arbitrator at Svenska Fotbollförbundet and came in 2000 to his debut in the Superettan. Two years later he whistled his first game in Allsvenskan. In 2001 he came to the first missions at international level, in 2004 he was promoted to the FIFA referee.

In December 2008, the Swedish Federation had decided to make six referees to semi-professionals; Stålhammar was one of the elect.
