Danielle Poleschuk

Danielle Poleschuk ( born January 23, 1986 in Winnipeg ) is a Canadian freestyle skier in the discipline of ski cross and former alpine skier.

Biography

Poleschuk took off in December 2001 participated in the Alpine FIS races, of which she won in the years to nine. Operations in the north -Am Cup followed in March 2002. She specialized from the season 2003/ 04 on the disciplines of downhill and Super -G. In 2005, she was twice win a super-G in the Nor- Am Cup, on February 6, and on 12 December. Her debut in the Alpine Ski World Cup had Poleschuk on 1 December 2006 in Lake Louise. In a total of six World Cup races she never was able to classify in the points, a 44th was their best result.

At the beginning of the 2008/ 09 changed Poleschuk for ski cross and launched on January 5, 2009 in St. Johann in Tirol first time in the freestyle World Cup. World Cup points they won for the first time five days later, when she was fifth in Les Contamines. In its premiere season, this was their best result. Poleschuk participated in the 2010 Winter Olympics, scoring on 12 March 2010 with third place in Grindelwald for the first time a podium in a World Cup race.
