Dansk Supermarked A/S

Dansk Supermarked A / S ( Danish Supermarket AG) is a Danish company that operates numerous supermarkets. The group had 2013 42.500 employees ( 32,000 of them in Denmark and 10,500 in Germany, Sweden and Poland) and had an annual turnover of around 56 billion Danish kroner (about 7.5 billion euros ).

The company operates more than 1,300 stores ( 2013). The stores are operated under the following names:

  • Net
  • Føtex
  • Bilka A / S (including A-Z Hjørring )
  • Salling
  • Tøj og Sko (2012 resolved)

The Group's shares are held by the Group Salling and the AP Møller Mærsk -. A redistribution of the shares of Møller- Mærsk for Salling group was announced in January 2014.

The company was founded by Herman Salling as Jysk 1960 Super Marked ( Jütischer supermarket). By Herman Salling with the AP Møller Mærsk - group in 1964 entered into a joint venture, the name was changed to Dansk Supermarked. Since Salling's death in 2006 his shares of the Salling -Invest and the Salling Holding are perceived; behind them are two (non-profit ) Salling funds.
