Dante Basco

Dante Basco ( born August 29, 1975 in Pittsburg, California ) is a Filipino- American actor, dancer and rapper.

Biography

Dante Basco is the brother of Darion Basco, Derek Basco, Dion Basco and Ariana Basco. In earlier years he was a member of the Streat Freaks breakdancing crew. He started as an actor, initially in small television roles until he in the role of Rufio later played in Steven Spielberg's Hook ( 1991) starring Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman the leader of the Lost Boys. The punk band Rufio is named after this character.

Basco had unique guest roles on the television shows The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Real super, Mr. Cooper, X-Factor - The incomprehensible and repeated in Moesha. He played characters of various Asian- ethnic groups, but never a Filipino.
