Dante Boninfante

Dante Boninfante ( born March 7, 1977 in Battipaglia ) is an Italian volleyball player.

Career

Boninfante began his career in 1994 in the youth of Sisley Treviso. After playing for a final season in the first team, he moved in 1997 to Com Cavi Napoli. After that he went for a year to the second division Caffè Motta Salerno, before he returned to Treviso in 1999. With the setter Sisley 2000 Italian Cup winner was. In the same year the club won on home soil the final of the Champions League against VfB Friedrichshafen. 2001 Treviso by Italian masters and Boninfante debuted in the national team. He then moved to Volley Ferrara. His next clubs were Acqua Paradiso Marmi Lanza Verona Montichiari and before he came to Copra Piacenza 2007. With Piacenza, he won the national championship in 2009. In the season 2010/11 Boninfante played for the third time for Sisley Treviso and won with the club the CEV Cup. With the national team setter reached the final of the European Championship. He then moved to his present club M. Roma Volley. In 2012 he won with Italy at the Olympic Games in London, the bronze medal.
