Daria Dmitrieva

Daria Dmitrieva Andrejewna (Russian Дарья Андреевна Дмитриева; born June 22, 1993, Irkutsk, Russia) is a Russian rhythmic gymnast. Among her greatest achievements include two silver and two bronze medals at the Gymnastics World Championships 2010 in Moscow, a silver medal at the European Championships 2011 in Minsk and a silver medal at the 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

Sports career

Daria Dmitrieva comes from Irkutsk in Siberia, where she also started gymnastics. 2009 surprised the then unknown gymnast by winning the major international gymnastics tournament in Corbeil -Essonnes in France. It was part of the Russian national team and has since enjoyed several times successfully in international championships.
