Daria Kondakova

Darya Vladimirovna Kondakova (Russian Дарья Владимировна Кондакова; born July 30, 1991 Sochi, Soviet Union) is a former Russian rhythmic gymnast. Among her greatest accomplishments include two gold ( team rope) and three silver medals at the Gymnastics World Championships 2010 in Moscow ( all-around, hoop and ribbon ) and at the European Championships 2010. Known it is above all for their elegance, especially with the band, and has an advertising contract with the Swiss watchmaker Longines.

Sports career

Kondakova started rhythmic gymnastics in her native city of Sochi. From there she moved to Dmitrov near Moscow in 2005. In 2006 she won 15 international Junior Championship with an exercise on the band, which was her first international success. In 2009 she was on the band Russian champion and won with the Russian team in the same year the gold medal in the team competition of the World Cup. This was her biggest success to the 2010 World Cup, when they finally established himself in the first row of the top Russian gymnasts. At the 2011 World Championships, she won in all individual devices, the silver medal, always behind their back then dominant in the gymnastics world Evgenia Kanaeva teammate.
