Darren Morningstar

Troy Darren Morningstar ( born April 22, 1969 in Stevenson, Washington ) is an American professional basketball player. He played on the position of the center. After playing one year in the NBA, he played at various clubs around the world. In 1998, he then ended his career.

College

Morningstar attended Stevenson High School in Stevenson. In 1987, he then went to the United States Naval Academy. There, he played only five games and made an average of 12.2 points per game. In 1988 he moved to the University of Pittsburgh. That earned him a one-year lock. He then played three seasons long for the Pittsburgh Panthers. He reached the NCAA Tournament three times. In 1992 he received the NCAA - building scholarship and the title of Big East Student - Athlete of the Year.

NBA

Darren Morningstar in 1992, drafted by the Boston Celtics to 47th, but was traded directly to the Utah Jazz. But he left after just one game and moved briefly to the Fargo - Moorhead Fever. Later in the season 1993-94 he was but then again committed by the Dallas Mavericks.

International career

After his brief NBA career, he played first in Murcia / Spain. He then moved briefly to Argentina, returned after a year but returned to Spain and then played in Manresa. Morningstar then spent two years in Italy, where he played in Treviso and in Naples. Shortly before his career-ending, he played almost two years in Puerto Rico, before he then finished his career with the Grand Rapids Hoops in the USA.

Coach

Darren Morningstar briefly coached the Tampa Bay Windjammers. But He had little success.
