The House of crocodiles is a children's novel by Helmut Ballot, which was as a six-part children's series, directed by Wilm ten Haaf filmed for television and aired in 1976. A remake directed by Cyrill Boss and Philipp Stennert came in 2012 in the cinemas.

Action

While his parents are on vacation, the twelve -year-old Victor uses the opportunity once poke around all alone in the apartment - and sees in the mirror for a few seconds a man with a mask. His sisters Cora and Louise keep the first for a fantasy. Therefore, he does research alone at first gradually the more he embarks on a search for an explanation, the clearer it becomes that the girl Cecilia 20 years past death must have something to do with the matter. They fell with twelve years over the banister - one never quite clarified accident. Through stories of an old uncle, the father of Cecilia, he and his sisters come across a former friend Caecilia, Friedrich Mörlin.

Background

The series title refers to a small crocodile leather, Victor finds in his research in the house.

The series was filmed in Munich's Bogenhausen.
