Waldemar Kobus
Waldemar Kobus (* 1966 in Szczytno ( Ortelsburg ), Poland ) is a German actor.
Life and career
He arrived in 1970 as ethnic Germans from Poland to Düren and grew up there. There he attended the Stiftische school. From 1988 to 1991 he attended acting lessons at the Otto Falkenberg School in Munich, then followed by numerous theater engagements in Frankfurt, Bochum, Stuttgart, Zurich, Vienna and Cologne. Since the early 1990s he stands in front of the camera, as of 2001 there is the focus of his work.
Except through appearances on television series, he has become known to a wider audience through the role of the greedy policeman Viktor Schimanek (# 2) from the comedy Alles Atze ( RTL).
International made his portrayal of amoral SS man Günther Franken in Paul Verhoeven 's Black Book of pan-European large-scale production for attention.
As a singer in the Cologne carnival mood he sings songs of Komponisten-/Texterduos Klaus Fehling and Uli Winters.
Waldemar Kobus is married to the theater and film actress Traute Hoess and lives in Bochum.
