Das Käthchen von Heilbronn (opera)

Cathy of Heilbronn ( 1881) is a romantic opera in four acts by Carl Martin Rein Thaler on a libretto by Heinrich Bulthaupt, based on the play Cathy of Heilbronn by Heinrich von Kleist.

Reinthaler began work on the project in 1875. The work was premiered in Frankfurt am Main. In a number of German cities, the opera was replayed. 2009 there was a renewed rehearsal at the Theater Erfurt, which was then recorded on compact disc.
