Career

Gilbert programmed his first adventure game in 2001, which he called Repossessor. He moved several years in the game underground, working in parallel, as an English teacher in Asia. This was followed by freeware games such as Two of a Kind, which produced Gilbert in larger teams. In 2006 he decided to become a professional game developer, and relocated to New York, where he founded the company Wadjet Eye Games.

His first commercial success was with The Shivah a game in which resonates Gilbert's Jewish origins. It is told from the perspective of a rabbi and treated Judaism in American society. It was considered by the New York Times, CNN and the Israeli press because of the social aspects as an interesting piece of news in the gaming market.

With The Blackwell Legacy he set the foundation for a series of games, which will be further developed to date. The fourth part, The Blackwell Deception, was released on October 12, 2011., The game series has received several awards and was rated by reputable computer magazines such as PC players high.
