Dave Hemingway

David Robert " Dave" Hemingway ( born September 20, 1960 in Hull) is an English musician.

He was the drummer of the Housemartins, before the band The Beautiful South founded with Paul Heaton, where he served as a lead singer. In 2006, he released his first solo album titled " Hello Cruel World" exclusively as a download on iTunes.

Since early 2009 he again plays with seven former members of The Beautiful South under the name " New Beautiful South ". 2010, the name was changed to "The South ".
