David Avidan

David Avidan (Hebrew דוד אבידן; born 1934 in Tel Aviv, † 11 May 1995 ) was an Israeli " poet, painter, filmmaker, publicist, playwright " ( in his own words ).

David Avidan was talking together with Yehuda Amichai, Nathan and property, the above three Israeli poets of the 1950s and 1960s, the Hebrew as their mother tongue.

Avidan studied literature and philosophy at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem ( not finish ).

Avidan Winery first book, " cocks without lips " ( Hebrew: " ברזים ערופי שפתיים " ) from 1954, was by most critics judged bad. The first good review was written by Gabriel Moked, who later became one of his closest friends was. His most famous book was "something for someone " ( Hebrew: " משהו בשביל מישהו " ) from the year 1964.
