David Baldacci

David Baldacci (* August 5, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia) is an American best-selling author.

Life

Baldacci grew up in Richmond / Virginia, the son of a mechanic and a secretary. He studied at the Virginia Commonwealth University Political Science and at the University of Virginia law.

Besides his studies he worked as a vacuum cleaner salesman, boiler cleaner, security guard and designer. After graduation, he worked for nine years as a trial lawyer and business lawyer in Washington DC and wrote alongside short stories and screenplays, before devoting himself exclusively to writing. His books have been translated into 37 languages ​​and are sold in over 80 countries. He has so far reached a total circulation of over 40 million copies.

Baldacci also writes screenplays for television and is also actively involved for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Barbara Bush Literacy Foundation, the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and the Virginia Commonwealth University.

His first work The President was filmed in 1997 starring Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman under the original book title Absolute Power. In her books around the two protagonists Sean King and Michelle Maxwell is based an American television series, which airs on the cable and satellite channels TNT titled King & Maxwell since June 2013.

Today he lives with his wife Michelle, his daughter and his son Collin Spencer in Alexandria, Virginia.
