David Emanuel (fashion designer)

David Emanuel ( born November 17, 1952 in Bridgend ) is a native of Wales Fashion Designer. His breakthrough came in 1981 as a designer of the wedding dress of Princess Diana

Career

Emanuel got 1972-1975 at Cardiff School of Art and Design and from 1976 to 1977, together with his future wife Elizabeth Emanuel (born Weiner, also a designer, including for Prince Charles) at the Royal College of Art in London. After that he worked among others for the Hofdesigner of Elizabeth II, Hardy Amies. 1977, at the age of 25, he opened his own fashion boutique in London focusing on custom-made for movie stars (including Elizabeth Taylor and Madonna ) and the Royals specialized. Since his divorce in 1990, he sells his own clothing collection under the name David Emanuel Couture. David Emanuel is also a fashion designer for the costumes of several film and theater productions commissioned (including for performances of Webber musical Sunset Boulevard or for Jane Seymour in War and Remembrance ) and designed the uniforms of the stewardesses both Virgin Atlantic Airways ( 1991) and Britannia Airways ( 1999). He has worked for various television stations, among other things for the BBC show Celebrity Cash in the Attic or as host of " Shop The World" at Fashion TV, writes fashion columns in several newspapers (including those in the Western Mail ) and has published jointly with his wife, two fashion books.
