David Evans (squash player)

David Evans ( born October 24, 1974 in Pontypool ) is a Welsh former squash player.

Career

In 1993, David Evans his Tour debut. In his career he won a total of five PSA titles and reached third place in February 2001, its highest ranking in the world rankings. Among his greatest achievements include second place at the World Team Championship in 1999 and the World Team Championship in 1997. He participated with the team in numerous other championships, including the World Championships in 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007. In the 2000 season, he became the first Welshman's British Open. He defeated in the final of the Australian Paul Price 15:11, 15:6 and 15:10. In 2009 he announced his retirement from the professional tour known, but continued to play for the Welsh national team or in the English Premier League. With eight titles David Evans is record winner of the Welsh National Championships.
