World Open (squash)

The World Squash Championships take place annually, but there has been exceptions. At the World Open are exclusively to the annual single competition of men and women. Team competitions are played each every two years at the World Team Open. The double and mixed competitions, however, instead of just irregular.

History

The first World Cup was in 1976 in the country of squash, England, instead. Host was the capital London. At the time, the countries of Pakistan, England, Australia and New Zealand already were considered strongholds of squash, while in other States the sport in subsequent years was in its heyday. Except for the years 1978, 2000 and 2001, the World Open the men were held every year. Decisive history in the individual competitions, the name Khan wrote: Jahangir Khan presented with six titles a held for unsurpassable record before Jansher Khan, who was not more closely related to Jahangir, those same with eight individual titles ceased. Jahangir Khan was 17 years old in 1981, the youngest winner. From this final in Toronto in 1981 until the finale in 1986 in Toulouse Jahangir Khan suffered not a single defeat. He won over 500 games at the squash pieces, before he was defeated after five years and eight months by the New Zealander Ross Norman. In the 2013 season for the first time fell in the history of the World Cup in Single Ladies. On January 11, 2014 it was announced that the tournament will be held later in March 2014 in Penang.
