Nicol David

Datuk Nicol Ann David ( born August 26, 1983 in Penang ) is a Malaysian squash player. It is equipped with seven titles record world champion and reigning number one.

Life

Nicol David is the daughter of Ann Marie, a teacher of Chinese ancestry, and Desmond, an engineer with Indian ancestors. She also has two sisters. She completed her secondary school certificate ( Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia) with seven ones. The University of Nottingham awarded honorary Nicol 2007 a ​​Master of Arts degree. Career

At the age of five years, Nicol David started with squash. Already in her junior career she has won numerous tournaments, including the 1999 and 2001 world championship title. Her first title on the professional tour, she won on 28 February 2000 at the Finnish Open. Since then, Nicol David won on the WSA World Tour 69 tracks and stood in 15 other finals. In 2005 she won the World Championship for the first time the assets against Rachael Grinham and defended that title in 2006 against Natalie Grinham.
