Natalie Grinham

Natalie Marie Grinham (born 16 March 1978 in Toowoomba ) is an Australian- Dutch squash player.

Life

Natalie Grinham grew up in Australia, their one years older sister Rachael Grinham also squash player. Since 1999 she lives in the Netherlands and received in February 2008, the Dutch citizenship. She is married to the former Dutch squash player Tommy Berden since 2006, the couple has a daughter.

Career

Natalie Grinham won on the WSA tour date 15 tracks and stood in 36 other finals. You recorded with second place in the world rankings, the first time they occupied in February 2007, their best placement. Four times they reached the final of the World Cup, but was unable to win the games. 2004 defeated Natalie Grinham clearly with 0:3 Vanessa Atkinson, 2006, she narrowly lost in the fifth set against Nicol David. The following year they again lost 0-3, this time against her sister Rachael. In 2009, she had to again Nicol David bow, this time in four sets. With the Australian national team won the World Cup in both 2002 and 2004. During the 2004 season she was also with her sister Rachael world champion in doubles.

At the Commonwealth Games Natalie Grinham won several medals. In 2002, she won a bronze medal in doubles with sister Rachael. At the 2006 Games, she won in all three fields in which they took the gold medal: In individual they defeated in the final of her sister, she won in a double turn with Rachael and she won in mixed doubles at the side of Joe Kneipp. The World Games 2009, she won the silver medal behind Nicol David, 2013, it had in the final again the Malaysian beaten.

After 2008, the Dutch citizenship was, she appeared from 2009 to the Netherlands. She was therefore eligible to play for the European Championships, winning for the first participation in 2009 the title. She repeated this success in 2011. Between 2012 and 2013 she became vice European champion. She won in 2012 their second Dutch national champion and defended that 2013.
