Qamar Zaman

Qamar Zaman (* April 11, 1952 in Quetta ) is a former Pakistani squash player.

Career

Qamar Zaman was 1971-1986 as active squash player and reached the final four times in this period of the World Cup in the individual without ever winning the title. 1977, 1979 and 1980, he was defeated each of the Australian Geoff Hunt, 1984, he was beaten compatriot Jahangir Khan. With the Pakistani national team, however, he won several times the world champion title. The Asia Cup he won several times with the team, the individual he succeeded both 1984 1986. During his second individual title Qamar Zaman was already 44 years old. In addition, he won in 1975 after a 3-0 final victory against Gogi Alauddin the British Open. In January 1975, Qamar Zaman was performed at the top of world rankings.

His son Mansoor Zaman is also active as a squash professional.
