Asian Individual Squash Championships

The squash - Asia Championships are the continental championships in Asia squash. You will be held both in single as well as with the team and find every two years.

History

The men's competitions were first held in 1981, the women's competitions in 1986. Record winner in the singles is Ong Beng Hee in the men with four titles in the women's Nicol David with eight titles, both from Malaysia. In the team competitions Pakistan, with 13 titles in the men leading the nation in the women it is again Malaysia with seven titles.

All competitions were held in 2010 at the same time in a single event. The most often has been the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur hosts. Since the individual competitions were in contrast to the team competitions against the biennial held in 2011 instead of 2012, also differed for the first time the host country. The individual 2011 were held in Penang, Malaysia, while the team title were awarded in Kuwait City.
