Tania Bailey

Tania Bailey ( born October 2, 1979 in Stamford, Lincolnshire ) is a former England squash player.

Career

In 1998, Tania Bailey gave her Tour debut. In her career, she reached fourth place in March 2003, their highest placing in the world rankings and won on the WSA World Tour total of six titles. Already in her junior career, she became world champion when she defeated Frenchwoman Isabelle Stoehr with 9:6, 9:1 and 9:7 in 1997. In individual did not succeed such a success with the ladies, with the England team but in 2006 became world champion. It was followed by two runner-up titles in 2008 and 2010. With the team they also won multiple titles at the European Championships. In the individual it was 2007 Vice European Champion after a 5:9 - 9:3 - 7:9 - 5:9 defeat against her compatriot Jenny Duncalf. At the 2002 Commonwealth Games she won the doubles competition together with Cassie Jackman the silver medal. Four years later she won the bronze medal with Vicky Botwright in doubles. In 2006 she became British national champion.

Tania Bailey finished her professional career after the 2012 season. On 4 January 2013, it became the mother of a son.
