Stewart Boswell

Stewart Boswell ( born July 29, 1978 in Canberra ) is an Australian former squash player. It was founded in 2006 along with Anthony Ricketts World Champion in men's doubles, and in 2001 and 2003 with the Australian national champion team.

Career

Boswell's professional career began in 1997, one year after its entry into the finals of the World Junior Championship in 1996. Against the Egyptian Ahmed Faizy he lost with 1:3. His most successful years witnessed Bozza, as he was called by teammates, in the years 2001 to 2003. 2001 he was with the Australian national team win the World Cup on home soil in Melbourne. By 2003 he was able to advance in the sequence in the world rankings at number four. In 2004, he was sidelined because of a severe back injury before joining the tour in early 2005 for almost an entire year. On his comeback he won eight titles on smaller tournaments, so he was already the end of 2005 was able to place in the top 20 again. This he left no more until his resignation. Along with Anthony Ricketts Boswell was 2006 World Champion Doubles year. The duo won in Melbourne against Joseph Kneipp and Dan Jenson, also Australian. At the Commonwealth Games, he won a total of four medals: In 2002, he retired in the semifinals in singles and thus won bronze. Also in 2002, and in 2006 and 2010 he was defeated in the finals of the Men's doubles, respectively, and thus received the silver medal. 2002 and 2006 he co-starred with Anthony Ricketts, 2010 on the side of David Palmer. With the Australian national team, he took in 2005, 2007, 2009 and 2011 at the world championships.

Boswell was known on the tour for his extremely precise and straightforward game, so he nicknamed The Surgeon ( German surgeon ) got media missed. He was coached by former Australian champion Rodney Martin at the Australian Institute of Sport.

November 27, 2011 Boswell was on world ranking 16 standing in his resignation after he was eliminated in the quarter- finals of the Kuwait Cup against Grégory Gaultier.
