Shelley Kitchen

Shelley Celia Kitchen, MNZM ( born December 2, 1979 in Kaitaia ) is a former New Zealand squash player.

Career

Shelley Kitchen began her professional career in 2000. Among her greatest successes include winning the World Cup in 2006 in doubles with compatriot Tamsyn Leevey. Two years earlier, she was along with Glen Wilson vice-world champion in mixed doubles. At the 2006 Commonwealth Games she won the bronze medal in singles and a silver medal in doubles at the side of Tamsyn Leevey. Her best in the world rankings, it reached sixth place in September 2008.

In December 2010, Shelley Kitchen ended her career. She was honored in January 2011 as a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

Private

Shelley Kitchen is married to the former Australian professional squash Anthony Ricketts. The couple has two daughters.
