David G. Freeman

David Guthrie "Dave" Freeman ( born September 6, 1920 in Pasadena, California, † June 28, 2001 in Rancho Santa Fe, California ) was an American badminton national team.

Career

Freeman of the most important American badminton player was in the time before and after the Second World War. In 1949, he was with the American team in the Thomas Cup finals, but lost in the semifinals to eventual winners Malaya. The ongoing open U.S. Championships, he won 15 times. The All England he stood twice in the final. In 1948 he won at the Denmark Open. In 1956 he was inducted into the U.S. Badminton Hall of Fame. According to him, Dave Freeman Open was named.
