David Gordon Green

David Gordon Green ( born April 9, 1975 in Little Rock, Arkansas) is an American film director, producer and screenwriter.

Life

David Gordon Green was born in 1975 in Little Rock, but spent most of his childhood and youth in Richardson, Texas. After leaving school he studied film directing at the North Carolina School of the Arts. After a few short films, he published in 2000 with George Washington his first feature film.

His comedy Prince Avalanche, a remake of the Icelandic film Á annan veg ( 2011) by Gunnar Sigurðsson Hafsteinn, was admitted to the competition of the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival 2013 and won the Silver Bear for Best Director.

Green lives in New Orleans.
