David Greig (dramatist)

David Greig (born 1969 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish playwright.

Greig grew up in Nigeria. He studied at Bristol University, English and Drama. 1996/97 he was writer in residence for the Royal Shakespeare Company. His first stage play was first performed in 1992 in Glasgow. His play The architect was filmed in 2006 by Matt Tauber, starring Anthony LaPaglia and Isabella Rossellini. Greig wrote the screenplay with Tauber.

The German translations of Greig's pieces have appeared in Random House.
