David López (cyclist)

David López García (born 13 May 1981 in Barakaldo ) is a Spanish cyclist.

David López began his professional career in 2003 at the Spanish cycling team cafes Baqué. After two years he moved to the Basque ProTeam Euskaltel -Euskadi. In the 2006 season he was fourth on a stage of the Tour of Valencia and reached in the overall standings to seventh. When Critérium International, he won the mountain classification for itself.

In 2007, he joined the team Caisse d' Epargne ( later name: Movistar ) and scored the first victory as a professional at the Germany Tour and the Vuelta a España in 2010.
