David M. Wilson

Wilson was 1971-1976 Professor of Medieval Archaeology at University College London. From 1977 to 1992 he was Director of the British Museum in London, he is a member of the British Academy, the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, member of the Society of Antiquaries of London, and a regular member of the German Archaeological Institute.

Wilson was raised in 1984 as a Knight Bachelor ( Knight ) in the nobility.
