David Murray (painter)

Sir David Murray RA ( born January 29, 1849 in Glasgow, Scotland, † November 14, 1933 in Marylebone, England) was Scottish landscape painter.

Murray studied at the Glasgow School of Art painting under Robert Greenlees. In 1905 he was elected a full member of the Royal Academy of Arts, 1917, he became President of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolours in 1918 and knighted.

His works are exhibited in various British museums, including the Royal Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy.
