David Neville (ice hockey)

David John Neville ( born 2 May 1908 in Hamilton, Ontario; † 14 October 1991) was a Canadian ice hockey player.

Career

David Neville began his career as a hockey player in 1929 in his hometown at the Hamilton Pats. In the 1931/32 season, he completed three games for the Arnprior Green Shirts, before he moved to the Montreal Hockey Club of the Montreal Amateur Athletic Association. As the team changed its name in 1932 in Montreal Royals and a year later in the Quebec Senior Hockey League moved, he stayed at the club. As a guest player, he represented Canada with the Port Athur Bearcats at the Olympic Winter Games 1936. Subsequently he remained from 1936 to 1938 at the Montreal Royals before he competed in the season 1938/39, for the Toronto Goodyears. He then ended his hockey career.

Internationally

For Canada Neville took part in the 1936 Winter Olympics in Garmisch -Partenkirchen, where he won the silver medal with his team.
