David O'Hara

David Patrick O'Hara ( born July 9, 1965 in Glasgow, Scotland) is a Scottish film and stage actor.

Biography

David O'Hara, son of Patrick and Martha O'Hara, grew up in a Roman Catholic family.

After compulsory education, he began to tour as a member of a youth theater from school to school. 1982, 17 - year, O'Hara moved to London and studied two semesters at the Central School of Speech and Drama. As soon, however, it lacked the financial possibilities, O'Hara returned to Scotland, where he performed the first time in a professional theater. Now he returned to the Central, to complete his education. At the beginning of the 1980s, O'Hara worked mainly on theater stages. He also was a year member of the Royal Shakespeare Company.

In 1984, he made ​​his film debut in Comfort and Joy, a comedy film directed by Bill Forsyth. O'Hara gained fame in 1995 by a supporting role in Braveheart directed by Mel Gibson. Since then he stood in front of the camera mainly British films, although he perceived also film offers from the U.S.. In 2006, he turned along with star director Martin Scorsese, when he showed the supporting role of Fitzy in his film The Departed.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, he played the role of Albert Runcorn, in the Harry after ingesting Polyjuice Potion transforms.

Today, David O'Hara lives in Dublin.
