Action

Marcy Tizard works for the U.S. Senator John McGlory and organized his campaign in Massachusetts. As the Senator has to rely on the votes of the Irish -born voters, she travels to Ireland in search of his relatives living there and evidence of his descent. There she meets in the small town Ballinagra competing matchmaker Millie O'Dowd and Dermot O'Brien know. In Ballinagra the regularly scheduled rituals of courting are imminent. One of the villagers, Sean Kelly, woos Tizard.
