David Padilla

David Padilla Arancibia ( born August 13, 1927 in Sucre, Bolivia) is a Bolivian military, who was President of the Republic of Bolivia on 24 November 1978 to August 8, 1979 de facto.

Padilla, who came from a group of democracy -oriented military, wanted to lead the country get back on a democratic path. After the presidential election in early August 1979, which ended in a fiasco for Padilla, he resigned as president. He was replaced by Wálter Guevara.
